Packhorse bridge Moulton by foxes37

Packhorse bridge Moulton

This flint bridge dates back to 1446 and was on the packhorse route from Cambridge to Bury St Edmunds.
The ford next to it rarely has water in it these days.

It's a very photogenic bridge. Do the walls slope outwards to give the packhorses room to get across?

It is very wide, wide enough to accommodate carts pulled by horses.
