What could be better in black and white than the shape of a lone hawthorn set against the snow. They seem to bend with the wind better than any other tree. Taken in the recent snow and processed for gloom. Its actually been a sunny day here. I sneaked a couple of miles further out to meet a friend and climb a bit of a hill. Nice day romping in the heather for Bessie. Took my camera with no card in. Doh. Should have checked before I set off.

Some of the best advice I’ve ever received is always take a photo before you leave. Knocks the flat battery/no card problem on the head. :)

I hate it when I forget my card. I try to immediately put it back in the camera. Getting half way round a dog walk and finding I’m lugging around a useless, heavy camera Is a bad way to start the day
