Golden Ruins.

Pevensey Castle photographed in the 'golden hour'. It was originally a Roman Shore fort (AD290) to defend against Saxon invaders, evolving to a Norman Castle, and even put back into action during the Second World War. It is most famous as the landing place for William the Conqueror’s army in 1066.The face on the left looks quite surprised and alarmed about the current repairs.
Great shot. It appears they are doing some sort of work to it

So interesting. The building on the left does look rather alarmed ha ha. I am sure it will feel better when its inners have been repaired.

Nice they keep it "alive" with repairs. Not an easy job I would assume. Great shot., I see the golden tones back in the bricks.
