I'm not a bird expert by any means but I do like seeing them darting in and out around the garden. I can recognize the bright red Cardinals and the cheeky Blue Jays but have mostly little sparrows of varying colours and markings. I think this might be a house sparrow...looked down on by most birders I fear, but their scorn doesn't seem to be keeping him from enjoying his treat of suet on this cold snowy morning.
I agree it is a sparrow and it's a lovely capture. Well framed. What a pity we think they are so boring when actually they're really pretty when you look at them properly...!
