A simple flower, not as elegant as my peonies but a really nice bright spot of colour in the garden and a prolific self-seeder. I planted a few of these, years ago, in one corner, and their bright faces now pop up, here and there, all around the garden. Might not be ideal for someone who likes a garden, neatly laid out and staying within the lines but, since I prefer a somewhat jumbled, unconfined array of plants, it works well for me.
