My old black cat has always been hard to photograph. That black fur just seemed to suck in all the light and give back very little detail. I doscovered by accident that using an IR filter camera seemed to pull more detail out so here is old Boo, in the place where he spends most of his time these days, in an old box, under the kitchen table. This was shot at high ISO due to the lack of light under the table, which resulted in a lot of noise. I applied a 'painting' filter which helped with the noise in the fur but may be a bit overdone, IMO.Colour version here: http://365project.org/gardencat/this-and-that/2014-09-14
