Went out for a walk yesterday, grabbing my camera as I headed through the door. Nature is blessing us with a few lovely sunny warm days at the beginning of fall this year so I decided to leave the housework undone and take advantage while I could. Nature also decided to bless me with the sight of two, huge monarch butterflies flitting lazily around a marshy field as I walked by. The only blessing that was missing was the forethought to have changed to my telephoto lens before I headed out so, here is a much more wide angled shot than I would have liked, taken with my 32mm lens.
Right place, right time, wrong lens.
Wonderful. We don't see many monarchs anymore. A telephoto would have been nice but I really like this wide angle view. Gives a sense of wide open spaces.
