I've known for a while that we have a beaver at the local pond, though I've never seen him myself but I've seen enough small trees that have been felled, with the tell tail chew marks and pointy ended stump to figure out what was going on. And now, it seems,he has started in on the large and attractive willow that drips gracefully over one side of the pond. I can't say that I am a fan of his urban re-development plans.
