On the Right Path

Failure is never a destination.
It's simply a road sign
that confirms we're
on the right path.

Well, I took a hand knit class (one day project) over the weekend. It was the first time I tried a knitting craft. I thought a throw blanket might be a nice birthday gift for my daughter-in-law on Sept 20.

I understood how to start, how to finish, how to count stitches and the in-between. Where I had trouble was the end of each row and switching directions. I seemed to miss a loop or something. I will see if I can get some help fixing it or find out if I need to begin again. I am not going to give up.

Nice on Black.

I am completely rubbish at knitting and the despair of my grandmother and great aunt in my youth! I think you did an amazing job.

It's lovely and made with the heart. Those slight imperfections are what makes it even better.
The image is great and could easily be an ad for the class.

Looks good to me. I’ve been able to knit for many years, but I’ve struggled with crochet.

It's squishy and soft looking. Too bad you don't live close. I would have helped you. Was this knitting done on your hands literally (without needles)? That's a bit tough for me, the long time knitter.

Love the colour and this shot just pops on black! Fav (Sorry, Cathee- I'm no help to you- you are well ahead of me in the knitting department)
