I had to take this shot of an african-american woman's profile. I actually ended up talking with her later and found that she has been braiding her hair for 17 years. I myself am not impressed with the look.

Wow that's a long time - it's certainly very different - but I don't know enough about braiding to make much more comment - a great interesting shot!

Interesting portrait. I'm sure the hair style looked much better in earlier years when her hair might have been thicker. It is probably an easy way to wear her hair.

@henrir @islambad Yeah ... I think it just looks kinda bad, and at this point, she is no longer interested in whatever it takes to keep up another hair style.
