Breakfast rain by gilbertwood

Breakfast rain

The day started with steady rain but this did not deter the New Holland Honeyeaters from getting their morning breakfast. They move so quickly therefore he is blurry! By lunchtime the rain started to clear, so hopefully things brighten up from here.
Beautiful capture, Denise. They have such a wonderful time with the bottlebrush flowers.

Love the sparkle of rain on the callistemon leaves. These birds are the devil to photograph, but for me the movement catches their spirit. Michael drove to Sale around breakfast time and it rained all the way - same in Melbourne.

Nice shot Denise, wish I had them visiting my garden, they are really pretty. My two Silky Oaks are alive with Friar Birds, what a noise as they feed and squabble :)

I'm unfamiliar with this interesting bird, but they seem similar to hummingbirds.
