This is the part of the breakwater I was photographing yesterday when I got the big, big wave on the other section!. The pigeons are resting on this ledge which you can see is open to the ocean. Today a big wave scattered them while I was there! This is specially for Sam and Poppo who obviously don't like pigeons :)
HAHAHA I had a sneaking suspicion you were going to post the pigeons today!! I think you should have cropped the photo so the pigeons were not in it! HAHAH
@gigiflower I just had to post it for you and Poppo :) @joansmor it isn't a photo trip Joan - it's just down the road from me :) @karlow75 I'm guessing they are not very bright as they are there every day and came back in 5 minutes after this wave! It's where they sleep at night! Crazy :)
They look as though they have had a bit of a shock. You would think they would have figured the waves by now. Maybe that is why they call them bird brains.
Great capture of all those pigeon wings extended! I happen to think pigeons are beautiful, and honestly quite funny. What's Poppo got against pigeons???
Awesome shot and love the foam from the water splashing and how the pigeons are either flying off or just standing there, daring the water to try and hit them! LOL Love the action in this photo! FAV!
Nice frenzied shot! I actually think pigeons are cleverer than most people give them credit - they manage to flap their wings to balance and eat the seeds out of our small bird feeders.
