@julzmaioro Yes these are Mareemas. They live on our island and protect the little penguins from Oct-April. They had a day over on the island for some documentary filming :)

What a wonderful bit of information about these dogs and their working story as I came across in your comments to others! I was thinking they were Great Pyrenees (sort of the white version of Newfoundlands) Suddenly Ken & I are looking up photos of these fogs + several others, and he says to me, "THIS is how you get down rabbit holes!" Thanks for leading me astray!
