Here is four generations of the family Fordyce name as their second name. My mother (photo) is Isobel Fordyce and she passed it onto my elder sister. When my sister realised she was unable to have another child, and I was pregnant, she asked me to pass it onto my daughter, which I did. She then very kindly named her baby daughter Isobel Fordyce 18 months ago - we were thrilled :) Fordyce was originally a surname in the 1700's and two brothers drowned at sea - somehow the name has been passed down through the generations, so we are pleased to see it it still continuing.
Awesome family portrait. I'm sure it probably has no connection, but I was born in Fordyce Ark. This is the first that I've ever heard of it in a different reference.
