Today we had Sullivan's christening - here he is wearing an "heirloom" gown made 46 years ago! A neighbour made it for my sister's son born in 1973, and then my 4 children wore it. My youngest daughter has chosen it for her 2 boys christenings which has delighted my sister :)
It's lovely.. nice to be able to carry on traditions.. We have a beautiful hand made cotton lace and pintucks that is over 100 years old but only one of my chilren were able to use it as it is so tiny.. daughter was christened at 6 weeks and just squeezed in son at nearly 10lb born had no show..lol
And a lovely dress and tradition.
