This was taken at The Meeting of the Waters, which is where the Waiwakaiho River meets some other wet piece of stuff before flowing down to the sea at New Plymouth. I did not fall in and managed to remain dry for the duration of the shoot...also used the Cokin NDX Filters again, so this is also SOOC.
This is for the B&W "Water" challenge.
I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
Ho shit! Sorry Graeme for my language. This is so fantastic! Great in B&W and I'm shure this is also great in color! You are so inspiring. I'm so lucky to have you as a (virtual) friend.
@gigiflower Hmmm...Thanks very much, loving experimenting with them, although some shots have been horrific "cock ups" @shawnasays Thanks very much @rebecka Thanks, and me too! @redy4et Thank you - I'm still learning as well @spanner Thanks very much
@candia thanks very much, appreciated @julzmaioro thank you very much, and for the follow. Followed you back after looking at your images - you could look at my wife's project as well, @kimkyra ...and very good to see a kiwi! @newbank thanks very much :) @chippy1402 thanks very much, appreciate that @ceilidh thank you very much @andrewkru thanks very much...latte? @wanabe thank you so much :)
OMG googled SOOC to see what that kind of filter you used...silly me
As always, in awe of your daily submissions. So the filter you used is that what is giving the mist of the water kinda cloudy feel??? just curious how u captured this...
@rachelwithey thanks very much @peter_1966 thanks, appreciated @eyeamlisa thank you nice lady @andy3168 thanks very much @wearing0 thanks, came out quite well :) @roseolivia thanks so much @denisefuller thanks - it's straight out if the camera @livvy thanks very much - just used a very dark filter that let me really slow down the shutter speed to a 13 second exposure during the middle of the day. Tripod a must.
That is a ripper Graeme, and even better that you didn't fall in! You've certainly nailed the effect you wanted, and your treatment of the shot has made it wonderfully moody and dark. Great for the theme too. Have you entered it in the weekly theme 'water', theme-h20?
@cindyloo Fair enough - thanks again :)
