Break in the Weather by graemestevens

Break in the Weather

I took the opportunity of a brief break in the rain to get some fresh air - unfortunately we now have gale force winds, so said fresh air was forcibly inserted into my body through every available orifice.
This was taken on the Tariki Straights, about 25 minutes South of New Plymouth.
Taraki is a "special" place where the men are men and the sheep are nervous, using a camera in public is a form of witchcraft, and husbands and wives rest easy at night in the knowledge that if they do get a divorce they will always be brother and sister.
Best viewed against the black again.
Bleak and foreboding, but best of all is your commentary. Love your sarcasm. My version of perfect humour

Stunning. We were battered last big. I hope you lot are alright down there. Great commentary.
June 11th, 2014
@spanner Thanks very much - we're okay, there was a suspicious lull in the action about an hour ago, but it's winding up again now

@graemestevens That last comment was supposed to read "we were battered last night" I lovely here now so I hope it blows itself out for you.
June 11th, 2014
@spanner Here's hoping - its supposed to be fine over the weekend, but what would Jim Hickey know?
June 11th, 2014
Ok....I am holding my ribs your comments made me laugh so hard!! I love the ominous look of the clouds and the small spot of blue sky and light. It reminds me of darkness and hope! Really love it!

@annied No wind anymore, but there's more tomorrow by all accounts. I can't wait. Everytime I go outside I come back in looking like a cross between Alice Cooper and Chewbacca.

Sam
I don't care for your photo because I'm laughing so much from your story. Definitely what I needed after my day at work. Are you one of those men that the sheep are nervous around?
June 11th, 2014
Wildly dramatic! On all parts! Be careful out there Graeme! If I were you, I'd watch my baaaaack ;)
June 11th, 2014
@gigiflower LOL, pleased to be of assistance - let's just say that mint sauce is my favourite cologne...
@lisatown thanks - it should noted that it's quite difficult to take a photo when backed into a corner!
