You Missed Me... by graemestevens

You Missed Me...

Because I ducked...
Ducking hell, that was terrible.
So was that.
I do apologise.
Anyhoo, enough of this jocularity...this was taken at Barretts Domain, which is a large area of native bush/woodland right across the road from home. I often walk the dogs through there and natural flora and fauna abounds, just begging to be attacked with a machete and flame thrower, to be replaced with concrete and steel. Luckily for us that will never happen as it's a protected area and comes complete with a "lagoon" and the site of an historic maori pa.
And some ducks, swans, tui, fantail and undoubtedly a vast collection of things with 6, 8 and more legs.
Great to see some places escape the rapacious developers. That's a ducking good shot.

Adorbs!
September 21st, 2014
Seen this close with the good focus its interesting to see each feather is rimmed with a pale colour. Wonderful design - wasted on a duck, not wasted on a photographer!
September 21st, 2014
@golftragic I agree wholeheartedly, and thanks a ducking lot ;)
@juliedduncan Thanks very much :)
@maggiemae It is a miracle of design but I can't help feeling that this duck would look a lot better with some cucumber, onion and hoi sin sauce...om nom nom...
September 21st, 2014
Fantastic clarity, Graeme. Super shot.
September 21st, 2014
@graemestevens .....and less feathers?
September 21st, 2014

September 21st, 2014
Quack!

Now I want to see something with "more" legs ;)
September 21st, 2014
oh dear I think the teenagers have sent your brain into a ducking spiral - I hope you can recover - I have these ducks come swim in the pool - they fly in quite quietly and the dog doesn't notice anymore due to her failing eyesight and hearing so they swim about merrily.
Beautiful reflection and detail - suspect joke and I love Peking Duck as long as I am not on photographic terms with said duck hahahahaha
September 21st, 2014
love the detail on the head here x nice capture

@kt8ird Thanks very much...it has it moments. If it's been raining it horrible, thick, deep mud on the tracks and there are large things scuttling in the undergrowth...

@newbank 'Twas delicious...the children in the park were somewhat upset at the time and may need counselling, but they didn't have to watch me wade in and catch it.
@dide Thanks very much - it was a clean kill.
September 21st, 2014
@graemestevens hahahahaha terrorising little children - well done - my laugh is enough to make them cry LOL

September 24th, 2014

September 24th, 2014
September 24th, 2014
@gigiflower @graemestevens HAHAHAHAHA now that has made my day!
September 24th, 2014
Sam
@annied @graemestevens You do realise that I want to say the REAL word?
September 24th, 2014
@gigiflower as do we hahahahaha
September 24th, 2014
@annied @gigiflower Ducking hell yes, it's on the tip of my ducking tongue. I might have to pop outside and scream it at the moon.
September 24th, 2014
@graemestevens @gigiflower oh duck this is killing me duck duck duck
September 24th, 2014
Sam
@graemestevens @annied I called my boss a stupid duck today. Under my breath. But I think he heard me. Oops! I was not a happy motherducker :)
September 24th, 2014
@gigiflower @annied Sometimes our bosses deserve a good duck...oh wait...that came out wrong...duck it
September 24th, 2014
@graemestevens @gigiflower HAHAHAHAHAHA I wouldn't want to duck my boss - and -
you can't say duck at school - it's frowned upon
September 24th, 2014
@annied @gigiflower I work with engineers and welders...we say duck an awful lot through out the average day
September 24th, 2014
@graemestevens @gigiflower
if I was working with engineers and welders I would too
September 24th, 2014
@graemestevens @gigiflower It's ducking great
September 24th, 2014
Sam
@annied @graemestevens I work with sales people all day and I often tell them how ducking stupid they are. TWAT BOLLOCKS!
September 24th, 2014
@graemestevens @gigiflower I love throwing around a good expletive
ducking hitsheds
September 24th, 2014
@gigiflower @annied Sales people are an interesting breed of creature in their own right who often deserve to be told all about ducks. What, prey tell, are they selling?
September 24th, 2014
@graemestevens @gigiflower oh I have told off many a salesperson hahahaha
September 24th, 2014
Sam
@annied @graemestevens HAHAH "hitsheds" - took me a moment but I finally got it. They are selling NOTHING Mr S, that is why I called them stupid duckwits. If they where selling SOMETHING, then we would be making our budget!
September 24th, 2014
@gigiflower @annied Oh you've got that kind of sales person! I feel your pain.
September 24th, 2014
@gigiflower @graemestevens hahahaha oh Sam lol
I am betting Mr S could sell sand to the Sheik
September 24th, 2014
@annied @gigiflower I'm not a common sales person thank you! One happens to be a Territory Manager, which basically means I spend all day marking my Territory and running it with an iron fist.
September 24th, 2014
@graemestevens @gigiflower and you would be excellent! But if you were a salesperson you would mark your territory while selling sand to the sheik
September 24th, 2014
@gigiflower @annied I used to be a sales person...apparently...fridges to Eskimos and all that
September 24th, 2014
@graemestevens hahahahaha duck - that's the one I was trying to think of LOL knew it had something to do with nothing
September 24th, 2014
I love your photo stories lol
September 27th, 2014
