Financial Crisis by graemestevens

Financial Crisis

It would seem that the receptionist has finished for the day without cleaning up their work station. Not only is this extremely unprofessional but it also does not give a good impression for new customers.
Best on black as usual ;)
The desk set up is unacceptable. I quit!

has someone locked you up in the dairy? oh look there is some gas to use to set something on fire!
loving the shot especially the peeling paint
November 18th, 2014
What a great scene. Very cool.
November 18th, 2014
Haha great shot
November 18th, 2014
@amandal Don't be expecting a golden handshake!
@pinkpaintpot Thanks very much - we got some great shots, too good no to share!
@ludgate Thank you very much :)
@carlt Thanks very much :)

Whenever I see photos like this one of industrial decay, I'm always curious about the process of degradation that turned a (presumably) clean and hygenic work area into this mess. Whatever the process, Urbex does make for some fabulous images - wish I could have been with you.
November 19th, 2014
Brilliant shot and funny caption :)
November 19th, 2014
@vignouse Thanks very much - it was very interesting to visit. I often wonder about that same process.
@joemuli Thanks very much :)
November 19th, 2014
Looks like the health and safety committee has been delinquent in carrying out their duties ;)

Like @vignouse I am very envious of your opportunity to have gone to this spot...
November 19th, 2014
@northy There will be a full inquiry!
November 19th, 2014
Slobs! At least they left you a decent photo-op! Love it!
November 19th, 2014
@juliedduncan Thank you very much - I just can't believe that they've been this careless!
November 19th, 2014
This is cool! Love the gritty feel! Fav!
November 19th, 2014
@orangecrush Thank you kindly :)
November 19th, 2014
Excellent, looks like budget cuts have taken their toll.
November 19th, 2014
Another striking image. Fav.
November 19th, 2014
I just love your prose. Still wish you would write a book. A lovely grotty shot of what financial ruin looks like.
November 19th, 2014
@kt8ird Thatnks very much - I don't think anyone's getting paid any more!
@kareenking Thank you kindly :)
@888rachel Thanks very much - I'd love to write a book but I have no idea about what!!!
November 19th, 2014
Fun narrative and interesting shot! Lots to take in!
November 19th, 2014
@harbie Thanks very much :)
November 19th, 2014
favulous, oh so gritty
November 19th, 2014
@bill_fe Thank you kindly good sir
November 19th, 2014
Nice gritty shot! It seems that appearance is not a valued asset at this establishment!
November 19th, 2014
@eyeamlisa Thank you very much - I believe you may be right. Maybe they focus on exceeding their customers expectations in other ways
November 19th, 2014
@graemestevens exactly, "don't judge a book by its cover" - although, I almost always do. :-)
November 19th, 2014
@eyeamlisa As do I - and in this case I think I may have been right!
November 19th, 2014
I think Health & safety wil be closing that dairy down....oh silly me they did! Not a place to buy your food now! Sad really, this must have employed quite a few people in its time......all gone now!
November 19th, 2014
No wonder she walked out... the walls are disgraceful. :) Excellent textures and contrasts in this old abandoned room. I know some friends in the financial industry I could send this to... they are just moments from the door. ;)
November 19th, 2014
well I won't be using the accounts department either - love the peeling paint - maybe the gas bottle will come in handy - ha ha
November 19th, 2014
Fabulous find and loving the b&w. Its a fav for me
November 19th, 2014
Love the gritty feel to this, nice contrasts, love the peeling paint and the open drawer.
November 19th, 2014
Tut tut.......
November 19th, 2014
Love this
November 19th, 2014
haha love it! great find.
November 19th, 2014
@andrewkru Thank you very much :)
@neatz Thank you very much indeed
@newbank What what? ;)
@overalvandaan Thanks very much - liked this one a lot as well
@dibzgreasley Thank you very much indeed, always appreciated
@annied If you're having a BBQ it's always handy to have a spare gas bottle...but I wouldn't use the accounts department either, it doesn't look like they have a clue about anything
@rosiekerr Send away...and yes, the decor leaves a lot to be desired!
@happypat I thinks it's been empty for a good few years, but yes, H&S would have a field day in here.
November 19th, 2014
That desk is just filthy. And I am willing to bet that the last person to use that cylinder left it empty too.
Awesome shot by the way. I am a really big fan of shots like this. Awesome processing too.
November 19th, 2014
The receptionist left things like this.... I feel we are having communication issues at present.
November 19th, 2014
@karlow75 Thanks very much - I can reliably inform you that the cylinder was indeed empty...
November 19th, 2014
@newbank It's not you - it's me. I'm a bit tired.com but I'll get it together one of these days ;)
November 19th, 2014
@graemestevens I'm tired.co.uk
November 19th, 2014
@newbank Poor us :(
November 19th, 2014
@graemestevens indeed. Shall we set up a mutual sympathy company? Or a mutual moaning meeting?
November 19th, 2014
@newbank I like the sound of a mutual moaning meeting...still, it's nearly the weekend and that means I can sleep in ;)
November 19th, 2014
Bleak, but at least it makes a great photo opportunity.
November 19th, 2014
@newbank Mmmm M and Ms!
November 19th, 2014
Great shot of urban decay. It looks like I often feel!
November 19th, 2014
@yaorenliu It does at that :)
November 19th, 2014
@ceilidh Likewise, particularly today for some reason!
November 19th, 2014
loving this documentary style. but i really like it better on white. Frames it up nicely.
November 19th, 2014
@graemestevens @ceilidh I got sleep in today. I have been up since 8.30am. But I am still in my pj's and hubby is doing the school run. He has a weeks holiday. He has spent the last two days enjoying his hobby today shall be spent without the children. So I started it with a lie in.... But I feel terribly groggy and probably in need of the fresh air walk....
November 19th, 2014
@brigette Thank you very much on both counts :)
November 19th, 2014
@newbank Can't beat the fresh air, and it's been windy enough here lately to have that fresh air forcibly inserted into ones body. Enjoy the child free day!
November 19th, 2014
@graemestevens that's the sort of fresh air I like. Send some my way please.
November 19th, 2014
Love all the textures in this :)
November 19th, 2014
makes me wonder at what point the propane tank arrived? was it always there?....
November 19th, 2014
love this!
November 19th, 2014
Talk about gritty!
November 19th, 2014
@janiskay Okay then - this is a very gritty ;) And thank you :)
@livvy Thank you kindly :)
@blueberry1222 A bald point - it's not the normal place to keep a gas tank...
@shawnasays Thank you very much :)
@newbank I think I must have because it's not winded here today...
November 19th, 2014
Sam
Did you take the gas bottle with you? It might work!!!!
November 19th, 2014
@gigiflower Safety first and all that - it was a bit rusty and despite common opinion I'm not a big fan of things that go "ka-blam!" when I'm trying cook
November 19th, 2014
Sam
@graemestevens Occupational Health and Safety. BORING!
November 19th, 2014
@gigiflower I know, but I like my hands...they're useful
November 19th, 2014
Sam
@graemestevens BORING x 2!
November 19th, 2014
Oh, yeah, the receptionist is finished allright! I hope you are not eyeing that propane tank with thoughts of ultimate destruction of this filthy joint!
November 19th, 2014
@panthora It would make a great shot...
@gigiflower My lovely wife likes my hands too...
November 19th, 2014
Sam
November 19th, 2014
