Reflection 2

I'm not entirely sure what it is or what it's meant to represent. I do know that it's priced to sell at a cool $95,000. Luckily I had already a few glasses of wine at the vineyard where this was and managed, as a result, to merely guffaw rather than letting lose with a string of expletives.
Clearly I am in the wrong profession. $95000 for a used and soiled sculpture!!!!

Yes we are really in the wrong profession... think I have been here .. it's a great spot...
January 12th, 2015
Brick Bay!!!
January 13th, 2015
lol :D really nice, like the capture of it with the reflections x
January 13th, 2015
Cool sculpture and reflections!
January 13th, 2015
@888rachel I know! I nearly fell over...well, I did, but that was later and for entirely different reasons...
@julzmaioro Brick Bay Winery - it was beautiful
@brigette Correct!
@amyleewinfield Thanks very much :)
@redy4et Thanks very much :)
January 13th, 2015
I've got better uses for the $90K, that is to say, if I had a spare $90K. But I do like the shot.
January 13th, 2015
@golftragic You and me both
January 13th, 2015
Looks extraterrestrial. Interesting "art" and I use that word loosely. Cool reflection.
January 13th, 2015
@eyeamlisa That's what I thought...and thank you
January 13th, 2015
That is very interesting AND unusual!
January 13th, 2015
I need to move to another profession.... more 3D, maybe? Nice shot, though.
January 13th, 2015
Very arty and arty reflection :)
January 13th, 2015
Makes a nice reflection but I think it will probably be there for a long time! Glad you weren't tempted!
January 13th, 2015
@tabarlett Isn't it though...and expensive too ;)
@rosiekerr You and me both - it's second hand and still worth half my house!
@hermann Thank you kindly :)
@happypat I only had some spare change...we counted and recounted but just couldn't rustle up the necessary
January 13th, 2015
Great capture, and I am definitely in the wrong profession.
January 13th, 2015
@ukandie1 Thanks and me too!
January 13th, 2015
Wow - let's all throw away our cameras and become sculptors! Nice shot just the same.
January 13th, 2015
@dide Thanks very much - no idea how many they sell but at that price i'd want a golden one
January 13th, 2015
My first thought was "what the heck is that...." Still yet to appreciate modern art. Lovely shot though.
January 13th, 2015
love the textures and reflection.
January 13th, 2015
@newbank Thanks very much - if it's any comfort, I'm not sure what it is either
@andrewkru Thanks very much
January 13th, 2015
Not sure which I don't get more. A) what the things that constitute modern art or B) how they cost sooooooo much money!
January 13th, 2015
Insert "are" in sentence A
January 13th, 2015
hmm...abstract sculpture baffles me at times..i guess the artist is trying to say...hmmm...well i will have to mull that one over for a while..and the 95K...ditto...nice find just the same...
January 13th, 2015
Sam
I would love this in my pond! Please steal it for me :)
January 13th, 2015
Sue
Wow! Great capture of it.
January 13th, 2015
@newbank I don't get it either - having said that, some of it I like.
@tellefella Thanks - I don't get it either
@gigiflower It was too big to fit in my hand bag
@sioux Thanks very much
January 13th, 2015
Wow, only $95,000. I think they are selling it cheap. Whatever it is, I'm sure it's meant to be good.
Now excuse me while I head to the garage and start welding crap together.
January 13th, 2015
Ha ha glad you controlled yourself lol it is quite unusual. Great shot though :-)
January 13th, 2015
Sam
January 13th, 2015
I was going to be suitably tactful and refined but I am really in no mood so......
I hate these ridiculous pieces of modern crap they try to pass of as art. I was almost thrown out of the NSW Art Gallery for sharing these thoughts when I wad in Uni hahaha @gigiflower you have a ducking pond big enough?
January 13th, 2015
Sam
@annied Of course not Ms Annie. My pond is 2 metres x 1 metre and just about 1 metre deep. I think the sculpture is *slightly* bigger than that but one can dream!
January 13th, 2015
@gigiflower ok - dream away Miss Sam
January 13th, 2015
Seems a lot for a few lily pads!
January 13th, 2015
I'd like to think I could at least partially understand a piece of art when it's value is so high. Alas, I'm still at a loss...
January 13th, 2015
@karlow75 I thought it was over priced for a something that's meant to be something as well - still be worth looking at as a career choice though...
@leanne333 It came as a shock to me as well, and thank you :)
@gigiflower Good lord no. Why conform to fashion?
@yrhenwr Especially when the local garden centre is selling them at $10 for 6
@aikiuser I'm so lost that I can't even see the map from where I am!
January 13th, 2015
Some Councils pay thousands of dollars for sculptures not even as nice as this one to put in odd places! This one wouldn't fit in my garden!
January 13th, 2015
@maggiemae It's huge - our council has a habit of putting up weird and wonderful sculptures in the most unlikely of places as well
January 13th, 2015
They're trying to divert our attention to the ridiculous amount of money, but in truth it's some highly secretative communication centre with extraterrestial life. I think. I'm surprised you didn't end in the water lilied pond after the wine.
Oh, by the way beautiful greens and composition.
January 13th, 2015
Lovely shot and reflection.
January 13th, 2015
Very cool sculpture but not within my price range! And don't have a garden... Great reflections
January 13th, 2015
@overalvandaan Thanks very much - at that price it wouldn't surprise me if there was some dark secret hidden inside it.
@tonygig Thank you very much :)
@roseolivia Definitely out of my price range too - and thank you
January 13th, 2015
well I had seen this one but since you did not respond I had forgotten hahahahahahaha
January 13th, 2015
@annied I do apologise...how rude of me
January 13th, 2015
@graemestevens very rude
January 13th, 2015
@graemestevens or did my comment offend haha
January 13th, 2015
@annied Highly unlikely ;) Must have missed it...so sorry
January 13th, 2015
Wish that crap wasn't in the water. $95K my butt. LOVE the lilypads and the stairs on the opposite shore, though!!
January 13th, 2015
@graemestevens forgiven lol
January 14th, 2015
@amandal It does a little bit over priced...
@annied Tough if I'm not
January 14th, 2015
@graemestevens two words :P
January 14th, 2015
Lovely shot! Interesting sculpture out of my budget but today someone asked about one of my paintings for sale. I gave her my price and she said she only had a $100 budget for a painting. This was a fairly large piece that would cost more than that to make and frame. It's discouraging for artists. Sorry for the lecture
January 14th, 2015
@annied Yes, I can imagine
@trinda Also out of my price range, but I know what you're saying.
January 14th, 2015
Great reflection
January 14th, 2015
@ceilidh Thanks very much
January 14th, 2015
It is rather foreign to this place.
January 14th, 2015
@yaorenliu Most of the sculptures were!
