Surge v2.0

It's probably cheating but this shot is now available in glorious technicolour.
I can't believe that I'm about to say this, but I think this one actually looks better in colour. I must be ill.
It does it does!
But I stil love the thought of those glorious splashes in red green blue abd yellow ha ha
July 19th, 2015
Spectacular pov, fav!
July 19th, 2015
Yes, beautiful. Perhaps you should forego bw from now on and go all technicolor.
July 19th, 2015
The water looks amazing! Super capture!
July 19th, 2015
Great stop action in both but I do like this one a bit more.
July 19th, 2015

July 19th, 2015
Yikes, hope you didn't get too wet!
July 19th, 2015

July 19th, 2015
@joemuli Thank you very much - some people were wondering how it would look in colour. I dare say I'll back to B&W very soon because this hurts my eyes.
@golftragic My feet were a little damp when I'd finished
@northy Do that - nothing leaves alive ;)
@aecasey Thanks very much - obviously I don't normally "do" colour but I thought I'd give it a crack :)
@kwind Thank you very much :)
@bigugly Or perhaps not, but thank you anyway :)
@cocobella Thank you very much :)
@annied Thank you, but that will NEVER happen!
July 19th, 2015
@graemestevens I am looking for my paint set this minute
July 19th, 2015
It does show how much black sand is mixed up in the waves as they crash on to the beach! I like the colour too!
July 19th, 2015
Super on BLACK if that is any consolation :))
July 19th, 2015
Oh, dear... have a "lay down." You are right.
July 19th, 2015
Great shot! Maybe you could offer it as the image for WWYD challenge then you would really see colour!!!!
July 19th, 2015
You must have caught a fever from the new wood burner...I love them both.
July 19th, 2015
Both are great, but grrr I think I prefer the color too!
July 19th, 2015
@ukandie1 It's a strange feeling isn't it?
@texastrails I think you may be right. It must stop.
@alinz I could, but I think I'd find that too disturbing!
@rosiekerr I'm not well at all...
@hermann I quite liked it with my eyes closed ;)
@maggiemae Thanks very much - we seem to have plenty of black sand ;)
@annied Just don't paint your screen...
July 19th, 2015
@graemestevens too late!
July 19th, 2015
yes it is, but the grimy waves make up for it
July 19th, 2015
Cool capture! The sea looks angry!
July 19th, 2015
Loving it in colour.
July 19th, 2015
the water looks black! and yes its a great shot in colour. Take a pill:)
July 19th, 2015
@annied d'oh!
@kali66 There is that. I couldn't live without grimy.
@redy4et Thank you very much :)
@newbank Thank you - I didn't think it would be any good as a colour shot but I may have been wrong
@pusspup I think I may need more than one pill...and thanks you
July 19th, 2015
Lol. Not too much colour in one go tho!
July 19th, 2015
Love the colour in this one.
July 19th, 2015
@graemestevens it works though - as I knew it would ha ha
July 19th, 2015
Goodness, that sea is bubbling and spitting! Great shot, and lovely to see a bit of colour.
July 19th, 2015
Muted tones of black, grey and brown is different to COLOUR. It's good like this.
July 19th, 2015
I love those dark waves. Good timing. Love the tones too.
July 19th, 2015
You'vestill managed to make it look menacing - so all is not lost :)
July 19th, 2015
I think my vote stays with the B&W version, but it's good to experiment!
July 19th, 2015
Love the mood of it
July 19th, 2015
Well I had to do a double take and look at the name twice! Been away for a few days so off to search for the b&w version...
July 19th, 2015
I love this version!!! It's not like the color is really bright, but it really adds to the depth of the scene.
July 19th, 2015
@dibzgreasley I had to do a double take as well...
@claireuk Thanks very much :)
@vignouse At least one of us still has some sense ;)
@mothermalarky Thank goodness for that!
@callymazoo Thank you very much :)
@newbank Thank you - it's still far too colourful though ;)
@888rachel A couple of rough days seems to help with my sea shots...and thank you :)
@pools82 Thank you kindly :)
@mastermek Good lord no, I don't want to go blind ;)
July 19th, 2015
@taffy Thanks very much indeed, it seemed to work but I still lean to B&W
July 19th, 2015
Great shot, I have to say that I liked it more in black and white, it looked more impressive.
July 19th, 2015
Great shot! Love how the waves are coming at you!
July 19th, 2015
Looks fabulous on black
July 19th, 2015
The thing is… this one is so much softer, therefore less threatening and challenging than the b/w version. B/w is for people who like to be challenged, who like to look behind and beyond the colour… which is a small fraction of the population! Come on, stick with the minority… or I might just have to threaten you with colour…. i have some colour shots in my arsenal waiting for just this kind of provocation! Or to put it another way … I'm beginning on my 2nd (or is it 3rd?) bottle of red this evening having just served a rather fine meal to my wife and son! ……..there ought to be a b/w version of red wine dammit! .. :-)
July 19th, 2015
@yrhenwr Every now and then I do colour - rest assured, it's not to be taken seriously. I much prefer B&W
@rachelwithey Thanks very much
@harbie Thank you very much
@nitrogene Thank you very much indeed
July 19th, 2015
Sem
it's only barely in colour!
July 20th, 2015
How was your trip to Pluto? Great shot of the landscape there.
July 20th, 2015
@semjaja Any more and I may vomited ;)
@blueberry1222 Cold, so very cold ;)
July 21st, 2015
Well, guess that they needed someone to drive the spaceship and take pictures.
July 21st, 2015
Got to agree with you Graeme...Fav
July 22nd, 2015
@tonygig Thank you very much :)
@blueberry1222 Should I tell them now that I don't have a license?
July 22nd, 2015

July 22nd, 2015
