Sorry, but it's another mountain shot, this time taken on the drive home today.
In other news I seem to have developed a dirty sensor overnight so tomorrows jobs will include cleaning as this shot has a lot of cloning and healing in a few spots (pardon the pun). Sigh.
I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
@semjaja I have so many sports in so many different places I don't think I can avoid it...liking your style though. @maggiemae When is there not cloud? ;)
@hermann Thanks very much :) @vignouse More than likely, but with the sun right in my face at 4.30 and being in a rush to get home to my other half...well...let's call it a rush job at the side of the road. @spanner I vomit in my mouth a little bit every time I look at it @dide Thanks very much :)
Camera sensors and beaches often don't get on well together … and the beach always wins. Weather sealed cameras and lenses, particularly primes, help to reduce the problem. It really is the perfect archetype of the lone mountain.
@whimsicalgrateful I've paid to have it done once, but since then I've gone and bought the kit myself...seems to work @nickspicsnz Thank you very much :) @karlow75 Mine has about 15 spots...sigh...and thanks :) @annied It is an outrage, pure and simple @tonygig Thank you very much :) @joemuli Thank you very much :) @rosiekerr Thank you very much - that's because I cloned and healed, and then did it again! @susale Thank you very much :) @denisef58 Thank you kindly :) @nicoleterheide Thanks very much :) @alinz It's the sensor at the back of the DSLR, usually spots on the shot...clean it carefully. You can get professionals to do it but I got the kit myself last year
excellent. I've got a cleaning kit too. I'm too experienced with the issue. My D7000 had a known problem. I have already had to clean the camera I got in April though.
@lsquared Thank you very much - I did it this morning over breakfast, so it's probably full of toast crumbs now... @happypat Thank you very much, and yes, I like to think of it as MY mountain ;) @taffy Thanks very much :) @jack4john He was a kiwi but I'm not sure where he was from...and yes, I've been to the top...great view until the clouds come in... @rachelwithey Thanks - that's what I thought too... @bill_fe I don't clean it enough, but then I quite like the grainy look with processing ;) @janiskay I usually drive around with my eyes closed...
Very nicely layered shot! Now, let's talk about that sensor cleaning... how long does it take you, and is it a relatively painless process....and, are you afraid of damaging the sensor at all?! Really hard to keep the camera clean, inside and out, when most of your shots are at sandy beaches...;-((((
@panthora It takes about 30 minutes, so you need a fully charged battery. I went and bought a proper sense cleaning kit and it seems to do the job properly
I've had a dirty sensor for ages, that's why I seldom shoot above f5.6, I am laziness personified
@maggiemae When is there not cloud? ;)
@ounooi Thank you kindly :)
@mothermalarky Thanks very much - bleedin' frustrating though!
