Which is also not the location of my inspiration. We don't know where that has gone but we do hope that it will be back soon because I'm teetering on the very edge of putting my camera away. Far, far away.
Barely tolerable on black.
I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
those hills look very bare - been stripped of timber? Why not start a new trend, Graeme - photographing people in the nude. Not the people though, you!
@cndglnn Bah! ;) @maggiemae It was up in the Parapara ranges north of Wanganui, so more than likely stripped of timber. As for me appearing naked, I think not...even my wide angle isn't wide enough... @rosiekerr Quite a few it would seem, it's just not "my kind of shot" if that makes sense. I need to find (or start channeling) my anger again I think. @kevin365 Dammit all to hell in a hand basket man, are you quite mad? ;)
You don't need no inspiration if you cam always point in the right direction. Love that ELT (extreme lone tree). You should tag it so and look there for inspiration.
Mr S, I hope you are not thinking of putting your camera away for ever, hoping just on this trip. if you are we need to have a serious chat. What would we do without your daily humour and thought provoking photos!
I really love the layers in this all the way up to the sky!
@maggiemae Were's the fun in that??? @alinz Thanks very much - we'll see what tomorrow brings @annied Thank you lady, much appreciated...it just strikes me as so "normal"... @spanner Thank you, always appreciated. I think the problem may well be that I'm not as angry as I used to be! @dibzgreasley Thank you, as always...maybe I should just come off the medication and see what happens. @mastermek It was the lone tree that made me post this shot, otherwise it would never have made the cut - and thank you, always appreciated.
@nickspicsnz Thanks very much - it's just not my usual "thing" @gazdi Scroll quickly! Scroll quickly! @annied Hardly a psychotic break...maybe a break from psychosis. I might bin the pills.
It's a great shot the kind of nowhere I like. Are we in for a series of nowhere shots? I wouldn't complain, you seem to find variations on a theme, as in your sea series...
@jack4john This is the only "nowhere" shot that I have but if you sit down nicely and behave I might treat you to the "Obligatory Midweek Seascape" tomorrow. Oh, and thank you very much :) @annied Shit, it's only a few more voices - how bad can it be?
@nicoleterheide Thanks very much :) @appaloosa86 Thanks very much :) @mindeater Thanks - I just don't like it. At all, it only made the cut because of that lone tree on the hilltop @kali66 That they do. Little do they realise how annoying all those hobbits and orcs really are @sioux Thanks very much :) @blueberry1222 Thanks very much :) @elytra Thanks very much :) @juliedduncan Thank you kindly - it needs more blood. Or bacon. Bacon is always good @kerosene Thanks very much - it's far from my favourite! @hermann Thanks very much :) @jack4john But first you have to behave... @annied Yep, the buggers are always there...
This is a superbly processed B&W landscape as you well know... stop patronizing us all and accept the praise that you're due - graciously! Oh yes, I have to tell it's a Fav because you're still to mean to buy Ace membership.
@annied@graemestevens Uh, my apologies for initial comment. Didn't have my specs on, thought it was a shot of entrails. So sorry. Ghastly scenic beauty now that I can see. Off to flog myself
looks to be a glorious spot - and very nicely captured and rendered in black and white... there are two solutions to lack of phojo: (1) fake it or (2) take a break... experience tells me that either way, phojo will almost certainly return... eventually... maybe... specially if you bribe it a bit...
@homeschoolmom Thanks very much :) @northy Thank you - it was quite peaceful until a young family arrived and started yelling and yahooing, so I shot them. I think the best thing I can do is come off the meds. @kevin365@annied Much better, please see that you continue to detest all scenery @juliedduncan I'm not walking that far!!! @vignouse Aagin, I'm half Scottish so any expenditure is highly unlikely. That coupled with the fact that I have a student wife and every penny counts...but thank you. I think I'm struggling at the moment as I'm taking shots that aren't my "style" at all...and we all know I'm psychotic. @janiskay I'm not putting myself through that again - maybe I just need to find a target...
I can hear the rush of the water. Sort of symbolic too. Sometimes inspiration flows like this and sometimes it's like a desert. Hoping some rain comes to your desert.
