Perfectly ominous sky :)
April 4th, 2016
Planning a Viking burial sometime soon perhaps? The clouds are amazing, again
April 4th, 2016
nice capture ...glad to see you are sharing landscape shots - my favorite :)
April 4th, 2016
I remember Vader getting cremated in a dense forest, though the beach with the dramatic dark clouds would certainly be a better place.
April 4th, 2016
A nice day for a cremation. The sky is just perfect for it. :)
April 4th, 2016
Wonderful.... love the sky!
April 4th, 2016
Very cool structure and a dramatic scene... what more can one want?!
April 4th, 2016
very strong b&w!! love the comp!
April 4th, 2016
a really strong image. the B&W works well. on the +side you aren't in it, on the -ve side you aren't in it. the Q that needs asking is did you build the structure?
April 4th, 2016
a funeral pyre maybe, who or what are you burning?...
April 4th, 2016
@jack4john That would be telling...
@pasttheirprime I didn't build it - this beach always seems to have a new structure on it though...and I wasn't dressed for the occasion....
@nicoleterheide Thank you very much :)
@kerosene Fire?
@kwind Thank you very much :)
@swillinbillyflynn If only I had some matches...
@dyanstevens The beach is always a could place for a cremation...
@pdulis Thanks very much - when I struggle for inspiration I head to the beach...
@dibzgreasley The clouds were really playing the game that day.
@hermann Thanks very much :)
April 4th, 2016
This is most excellent Mr S... I so envy you that beach.
April 4th, 2016
Lee
Very interesting and dramatic image. I was tempted to say, what a great bonfire it would make, but that might plant a seed. fav.
April 4th, 2016
@vignouse Thank you sir - this is a different local beach to the one that I usually loiter at.
@gamelee I think I managed to plant that seed all by myself, but thank you for not tempting me any further...
April 4th, 2016
@graemestevens What - do I have to call you Graeme Two Beaches now?
April 5th, 2016
@vignouse I hate to break it to you, but I have 5 to choose from within a 15 minute drive of home...perhaps you could just call me "hey you"
April 5th, 2016
@graemestevens No, that doesn't sit comfortably with me at all... I'll just settle for Graeme or Mr S depending on my mood.
April 5th, 2016
You sure do know how to locate and present dramatic clouds Mr. S. I do believe I'd like to see some flames emitting from that structure.
April 5th, 2016
@bill_fe They seem to follow me...and yes, I'm all in favour of some flames ;)
April 5th, 2016
Are you building a bonfire? I love those dramatic clouds.
April 5th, 2016
@888rachel Thanks very much - it's the clouds that caught my attention
April 5th, 2016
Great atmosphere as ever Graeme, those driftwood structures are a very kiwi thing, saw several on beaches and lake shores when we were there.
April 5th, 2016
@pools82 It seems to help us pass the time between cattle rustling sessions ;)
