6 weeks ago my daughter decided to "become" vegetarian. Since then I have been working almost ceaselessly with my powers and have recently succeeded in coming dangerously close to summoning a roast meal.
Don't panic, I have more sunset and beach shots yet...I'm just taking a break before I go (more) insane.
I am a confirmed and certifiable nutbar with a penchant for skulls, bones, blood, guts, fire and anything slightly peculiar and mostly bizarre. I also...
Well I've recently gone the other way...more meat, no grains, less carbs overall. Seems to be working for me for health and weight, but it certainly makes for more expensive grocery store trips.
Can't help noticing that in your photo you have roasting, and bones, but you still look a bit short on meat.
Oh pls tell me u will support her in this! My father forced me to eat meat in primary school and I have utterly despised that mother f***ing asshole ever since!
@btwebb Thanks very much :) @harbie Thank you kindly, I try ;) @tabbycat She has our full and unending support - despite which, most of the recipes are bloody delicious! The only "condition" we put on it was that if we chose to add meat to our portion of the meal that there would be no lectures/judgement. @gizathecat Boo!!! @888rachel We're actually fine with it - it's saving us a fortune in meat and most of the recipes have been more than good. And I can always have steak when I'm away...like tomorrow night ;) @golftragic I like meat too much as well, but I also love veggies, so it's not too bad. @gardencat It's been a great way to lose weight - I had put a bit on, and we're saving a small fortune on the groceries not to mention most of the recipes being slightly delicious. I'm away tomorrow not though, so I'll get some steak in me then! @darylo That will be interesting - our spawn has our full support though. The only condition that we put on it was that she didn't lecture us should we choose to have meat every now and then. @northy Not at all - we've actually cut right back (I can always have meat when I'm travelling - if I choose to). The only condition that we put on it was that she's not allowed to lecture us if we do eat meat. @photographynewbie So far so good - she is going to Chile later in the year for 6 weeks so that may be a challenge, but she's doing well and has our support.
Very cool & effective, I can believe you can summon anything but leave the daughter in peace, nothing good will come out of compelling someone to act against their own believes so maybe summon some vedgies too :)
@susale We're behind her 100% - she's just not allowed to lecture us if we have bacon ;) @kwind Thanks very much :) @hop2it We're doing meat once a week for me and Mrs. S but it's no drama.
yep...no roast for 6 weeks would send ya nuts...and bacon doesn't count as meat cos it's bacon!...summoning veggies is probably a good idea... i have made meals of just roasted vegs and steamed vegs served with gravox when i was broke and couldn't afford the meat...it was yum!...make sure spawn gets enough iron too... :o)
you have my deepest sympathies. My wife was a vegetarian when I met her....... but after months of relentlessly teasing and torturing her with chicken legs... she eventually turned back to the dark side. Don't give up hope.... :)
@tonygig Thanks very much :) @darylo I might like those recipes... @swillinbillyflynn She has our full support - she's made the decision based on social conscience rather than a dislike of meat...and most of the recipes are very nice...still... @annied It's a social conscience thing for Kyra...full parental support and all that
@kerosene You and me both but full marks to her ;) @lizhammond Thank you very much :) @joysabin I wish I hadn't unwrapped it ;) @vignouse No fish but she's stuck with dairy - and her age we were of the opinion that at the very least she needed to keep cheese, milk etc. @pools82 Thank you very much :) @annied The things is, I die...I get buried...I fertilise plants...vegetarians essentially eat me...
@alophoto Shudder ;)
