well, you've got me stumped by graemestevens

well, you've got me stumped

It seems like a strange place to leave a tree stump but it really is there. I was certainly stumped.
Fantstic .. great texture and detail in that stump...

Fabulous POV!

Is that a black sand beach? I know you have them over there across the ditch, but you are so good with manipulating images.... and I am presuming the stump wasn't on the beach either...
Great image

Don't look at me, I didn't leave it there. Interesting shot, I think I like this better than the other one, there's a strange feeling here kind of like the sky is pressing down on the scene and also as if the stump is a bit of a mirage, like you can see the waves faintly through it in places. Or maybe I'm just suffering from a slight Halloween hang ver and seeing ghostly apparitions everywhere.
November 3rd, 2016
@gardencat I think I prefer this one as well - I had meant to post them the other way around, but senility seems to have staked a claim...
November 3rd, 2016
Mind boggling
November 3rd, 2016
Super stump, you can sit on it.
November 3rd, 2016
@overalvandaan You can indeed - I declined the offer this time though as it was somewhat moist...
@northy Indeed...a complete mystery
November 3rd, 2016
Love a good mystery. Not exactly something one could tuck under the arm to dump on your beach.
November 4th, 2016
