An Italian singer/poet, Fabrizio De Andrè, wrote this line in one of his songs: "someone waits for the rain not to weep alone". This picture makes me think of that. You did love him, and if you did, he must have been a man of uncommon qualities!
It's never easy, even when we know they've lived a full life. Whenever we go to a funeral and we go to them depressingly often - the next one is on Tuesday - it always seems to rain. It comforts me to think that it's tears from heaven for the departed.
