So...credit where credit is due:

I saw a shot like this (so like this it's beyond a joke but I had to have a go) by a very talented photographer, Matt Collins, in the "Vision - Creative, Abstract & Conceptual" photography group.

I don't know that I'm 100% happy with my 'nod' to that shot but it's a starting point.
