Once again I have chosen to befoul the hitherto good name of street photography.
Love this shot.

I like that everyone seems to be looking at the same thing.

@tasian Thanks very much :)
@salza Who knew that fried octopus could be so interesting...

I would love to have a market like this where I live. I would have one of each! Great candid shot.

The punter doesn't look that impressed...

@rjb71 To be honest, they weren't anywhere near as good as they looked...
@365karly1 Me too - this market is 5 hours from home!

Mmmmm, decisions, decisions :)

I think someone has just posed the question "Why is something moving in that dish there?" !
November 14th, 2017
The good name of street was lost with the democratisation of photography! As always some do rise above the mediocrity. Isolating the interest in a crowded scene is key.. and you've done that This is a bit 'right side heavy' to my eye.. I like 3 main elements but the 'triangle' of the 3 figures is a bit squashed. May I take this opportunity to encourage you to do more?

@hermann We tried some...not very nice...
@vignouse I think you may be right. We had some and I'm almost certain it was still alive.
@yrhenwr You're quite right of course, but then I would expect nothing less - why the elite ever allowed the hoi polloi is beyond me, but then I'm one of them so why expect an explanation of my betters motives.
November 14th, 2017
@graemestevens HA! I was born in the gutter among the sharp edged empty cans maybe 30 years before you.. so don't even think of challenging me on the hoi-polloi front!
November 14th, 2017
@yrhenwr I'm stilling the gutter. I find the view from down here...refreshing...
November 14th, 2017
@graemestevens In the gutter with a digital SLR? That's just a lifestyle choice!
November 14th, 2017
@yrhenwr Given that said DSLR was purchased second hand, with a shutter count of more than 30,000, for the princely sum of $120 I could perhaps be justified in urging you to heed your own advice and not challenge my “hoi polloi-ness”...
November 14th, 2017
@yrhenwr That was an interesting reply that seems to have deleted itself. Strange how that happens.
November 14th, 2017
Yup, right heavy for sure
November 15th, 2017
@jgpittenger Indeed, but still...
November 15th, 2017
Interesting shot!
November 15th, 2017
@harbie thanks very much :)

I like the reserved yet intrigued stance of the potential customer.
November 15th, 2017
@joysabin She never did buy anything...a wise decision I think
November 15th, 2017
she's obviously not a cosmopolitan eater - I bet they were yummy!
I like the topic and composition but something in the processing doesn't work for me
November 16th, 2017
@annied They weren't very good actually...and yes, I agree...I usually work with my ISO at 100 but I had to ramp this up because night happened.
November 16th, 2017
@graemestevens oh shame I love those dumplingy type snacks
bloody night...it f*#ks me up too 😄
