I can't help it, but every time I see a Chinese style Buddha, I just think "You fat, smug, self satisfied bastard..... so, you've achieved a level of spiritual enlightenment that the rest of us will never even come close too........and you think that's funny do you?".
I much prefer the Thai style Buddhas. Somehow more serene and somewhat less gaudy and irritating. :)
