Some of the locals call this a city but really it's just a town...delusions of grandeur are rife and redneckery abounds, as is usually the case in any small town that is not on the commonly travelled highways.
Having said that, it is home and it is where the lovely Mrs S is, so I am also.
And yes, it did absolutely persist down the entire time that we were moving house.

Buggar. Today I went to a conference in the city. The one day I use public transport and went by train. It rained cats and dogs. (probs not quite as bad as when moving house.. - but i hear ya)
