Winter Framed by grammyn

Winter Framed

I was hoping for a shot with snow on this tree for my winter photo but It doesn't look like that is going to happen so this will have to do. Here is the autumn shot http://365project.org/grammyn/everything-else/2011-10-30
Looks pretty, I like the lacey branches. I also looked at your fall shot - hardly looks like the same location. I can't wait until all the trees are green again.

@debbim Thanks, Debbi!

Both are beautiful!! Would have been wonderful to have a nice helping of the white stuff for a day or two . . but this works great. That's a beauty of a tree. Can't wait to see the green!

Deb
Beautiful colors in the Autumn shot, but this one is pretty too!

Nice softness to this, Katy. A lot of your shots have had this soft effect to them lately. Very nice.
February 20th, 2012
@deburahiru Thanks, Deb. I know this one isn't nearly as nice but still a shot of the season!
February 20th, 2012
@debsphotos Thanks, Debbie. Is it the focus or what are you referring to?

It seems that there was very little snow to be seen this year.....not necessarily a bad thing........nice fall shot lets look forward to a spring shot
February 20th, 2012
@maggotx I'm hoping the spring one will be a little more interesting!. Thanks, Mag.

I DO have exposure bracketing on my camera and took a few shots today ....just playing around. How do I process them to get HDR?
February 20th, 2012
@grammyn -- That's partly it but it just seems your subjects look so soft...an overall feel. :-) It's nice!

It looks bare and bleak
February 20th, 2012
looks wiry and lacy at the same time...interesting contrast
February 20th, 2012
Can't beleive it's the same tree!
February 20th, 2012
Love all those lacy branches....seems the winter has been so mild in the States this year....and we are having a very long and cold one!
February 20th, 2012
@maggotx thanks, Mag.

@peterdegraaff It must look strange to you as you are getting to the end of your summer. It is what we have been seeing for a few months.
February 20th, 2012
@jennwearing See above to Peter. Thank you so much for your nice words.
February 20th, 2012
@maeva Amazing how much they change isn't it?
February 20th, 2012
@ruthmouch Thanks, Ruth. I'm not complaining too much. ;~} I hate it for you but you have shot some beautiful scenes because of it!
February 20th, 2012
This is a really nice shot. I love the trees with no leaves and the start of them blossoming flowers or the beginning of leaves to come. Nicely done as this is how it looks in so many places and you captured it so well.

@darsphotos Darlene, You always say the nicest things. I really appreciate it!
February 21st, 2012
Well, of course I love this... it is bare tree branches! :)
