@dieter@onie@corymbia@ozziehoffy@grammyn OK then who is going to design the T-shirt. Maybe "it's amplexus on an apple" "two frogs on an apple" or "even genesis on a apple"
What a photo, Katy. I really like it. How did you capture this? I understand the frog on the frog but on top of this apple and on top of your material for your photo.
@peterdegraaff not sure that the toads will sell as well ;) I'm actually surprised that they have managed to mate with another of the same species ... toads will try matE with anything that remotely resembles a toad (e.g. rock, shoe, goldfish.....)
@darsphotos First the dress up dress from the playroom
Second the apple from the refrigerator
Third find a frog ( i had to settle for the ones that were
getting "busy"
Fourth place the frogs
Fifth take the shot
@grammyn Thanks for your explanation of this photo, Katy. That is so impressive as to what you did to create this wonderful photo. You actually took two frogs/toads from your backyard and they did not move at all on top of the apple. I guess they were too busy to care where they were. Fav for me. I agree that this should be entered in the magnificent creatures theme.
@espyetta LOL! I found the frogs in my yard. We have tons of them every spring from the pool and I found two that were otherwise occupied so they were reasonably still. I just put them on the apple ans shot away! Thank you so very much for the FAV
Oh my giddy aunt!! I thought I was brave picking up just one!!
I found two 'getting intimate' outside my front door the other day, apologised and closed the door quietly as I walked away. The one underneath was very pink...! Lucky I hadn't thought of fruit at the time....!!
@filsie65 LOL! We had probably over thirty in our pool and my job every spring is to pick them out and redistribute them to a safer place! Many of them were in this exact pose in the pool as I pulled them from the skimmer.
@grammyn Well I'm deeply humbled by you replying like that!! :-) I haven't even caught a froggy myself! (Only saw a buzzard grab one today and took a terrible pic of that!!! haha)
@debbim ;~} Thanks, Debbi! I saw it right after I saw yours. You caught the shot I wanted that night and I am so happy it was yours and made it to the PP.
How on earth did I miss this . . I NEVER miss your photos. Guess I saw the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. Ahem. Looks like you might have more little froggies to shoot. Fantastic processing. I don't get the processing, of course, but you will win many awards for this one. Those Alabama frogs are so great at posing.
SPEECHLESS!!!!!!!!!! So you deftly picked 'em up whilst "in progress" and sat them on an apple, a black drape etc etc etc and they didn't care!!!!! BRAVO Katy!!!!!!!!!
@karenann There was really no processing. I "erased" a few water drops on the background so didn't want to post it as sooc but it really is. This is exactly what I saw. thanks,KarenAnn!
@gareauk1 Thanks Kelly and when i googled the difference I learned that all toads ARE frogs. so I felt comfortable with the description. I appreciate the comments. thanks again!
@ozziehoffy - I am just amazed that Katy picked up two poisonous creatures and then placed them near a piece of fruit.... hope she didn't eat the apple afterwards?
um...soooooooo....what....did you wait for them to be in a compromising position then place them on the apple? I can not imagine how you made this happen!!! It's bloody awesome!
@msk1p2 Truthfully they were like that when I pulled them out of the pond and rather than tear them apart I just put them both on the apple! I am so glad you like it!
@jquinn LOL! I have to say I agree with you! I didn't really focus on their expressions until some time after I posted the shot! To me he looks aggravated and she looks bored! ;~}
