"I'll be wearing a trench coat and carrying a newspaper and a rose." That was how I was to identify my very dear friend, Ruth, as I was meeting her for the first time from halfway around the world. She was joking but this is the newspaper and rose I gave her when we met. It was too hot for the trench coat. I saw her first and knew who she was even without the props! It was a glorious visit and ended far too soon It was also the beginning of a life long friendship for sure.
What a fascinating story to go along with this shot. I love the fact that you thought to take a photo of it to freeze the moment in time.
