Sundog by grammyn

Sundog

The technical name for this phenomenon is parhelion which has to do with the angle of the sun and this reflection of it which isn't really a rainbow but is similar. This is the second one I have photographed this year. The first was while I was on hiatus from this site and I took it while driving down the road at 60 MPH.. I know ...........not a good thing! It is just such an unusual sight I had to do it! For this one I actually stood in the road by my house and caught it!
pretty

Kathy I've atrial fibrillation since 2009 off and on and more frequently over the last few years until I got put on a waiting list for an ablation procedure. October 19 finally was my turn to go through the procedure..got home the next day and actually felt good. then a UTI set in and made me weak as a kitten. got some pills for the infection, didn't agree with me and I felt so weak and dizzy that Hans took me to the ER here in the next town over. that was Oct..30th, got home again and another atrial fibrillation set in 4 days later...back to the ER.. unfortunately this time the cardioversion ( they tried it 3 times) didn't work it's magic and I had to be admitted after an overnight stay at the ER before a bed became available..they tried every medication for days on end until they got approval from the Canada Health Centre for a pill that really works but I had to be approved first. took a few days and then they started me on 2 pills that night and two more days with 2 pills twice a day and the last one this morning. I was constantly monitored to make sure the strength they gave me agreed with me without any complications. now I was told that I have to take my new heart med to stay in sinus rythym for 3 months before they know if my heart stlled in otherwise I need to have a second onablation. I just hope for the best and play the waiting game...if you like to read some of my comments about a this go to Oct 18th and 19th, Oct 21st, Nov. 7and 9th..

@grammyn - maybe it is the content, not the photo that impressed me? (that's harsh eh?)

I like how you were driving last time!
November 10th, 2012
@bruni I am so sorry to hear all of that, Bruni! I am glad to know you are a bit better!
November 10th, 2012
now that should read if my heart settled in otherwise I need to have a second ablation. sorry for the typing mistakes.
November 10th, 2012
@bobfoto Truly I thought it was the content so not a bit concerned you didn't mean my skill! The content is what impressed me too! Maybe I'll post the driving one as well but it isn't quite as pronounced as this one
November 10th, 2012
@bruni Not to worry i knew what you meant!
November 10th, 2012
