Daffy Weather by grammyn

Daffy Weather

I went outside this morning to prepare for the severe weather we were supposed to get today and saw this first harbinger of Spring.............in January! I decided to post it for those of you who are getting freezing rain and snow again!
Early bloomer!

Thanks for the "relief!" I remember Spring .... well, kind of. :)
January 31st, 2013
@swguevin I have several but worry the cold snap we are getting will kill them!
January 31st, 2013
@karenann LOL! My pleasure! I wish I could sent them your way!

Yesterday was a little warmer in Wisconsin too - 56 degrees. But that never lasts long around here - the snow is back and so is the chilly weather.

I love your daffy shot, I need to see these to get me through the cold. Love the dof too

Unbelievable daffodils in January.. I will rather pick them than let the cold snap take care of them.
Thank you for letting me know about the pp. I never check them..surprised this picture made it.

So pretty! Did you get the storm!

Daffodils - they are fooled so easily. As are tulips. I have little shoots all over the place. This is beautiful to see on the yucky day we've had here.

February 1st, 2013
@jayberg LOL! I noticed several the other day as I was out for my walk and they were in someone's yard. We usually get daffodils first and then the tulips come a little later! iI think they are really early this year I think you are cheating! ;~} thanks, Jay!

February 2nd, 2013
Wow! It is early for this guy! Nice colors.
February 2nd, 2013
Beautiful shot, Katy, I love it. It has been 65 here into the early evenings. I expect to see something blooming. Funny how some go hit hard while others had it mild or just had short cold weather and now it is nice.
February 2nd, 2013
@jwlynn64 Thanks so much , John! We often get flowers early as our weather fluctuates daily!
February 2nd, 2013
@darsphotos Thanks, Darlene! the last few days have been very cold for us in the 40's and 50's. We often get that pattern during the winter! Several days of "normal" weather, followed by either very warm , or very cold weather and then ther reversal of that!
February 2nd, 2013
Love 'em!!!! The Syrian guys here have been selling the miniature narcissi early this year........desperate for cash apparently...I adore their fragrance!
February 2nd, 2013
@ruthmouch I love them too! I am not sure why unless it is because they are almost always the first to appear!
February 3rd, 2013
@grammyn I spoke too soon as my husband woke early this morning to fog and it took till well after noon to become high clouds. It was a lot cooler with no sun out until late and now rain in next weeks forecast. Funny how it changes from year to year and from day to day and week to week. It was warm enough to bring out a lot of people and kids to the park today. I have had enough energy to take photos, go to the park, grocery shop and do stuff around the house. Commenting on here some but need to post some photos. 11 hours of sleep last night helped but need more. Still so very tired.
February 3rd, 2013
@darsphotos Just concentrate on being healthy, Darlene!
February 3rd, 2013
@grammyn Will do Katy. I am off to sleep soon.
February 4th, 2013
Yay! You have daffodils! :-)
Since being on 365, I have become so aware of how much people in cold regions, long for the first signs of spring. We are quite spoiled here in SoCal. Seems there is always something blooming.
February 5th, 2013
@pasadenarose Well it does get cold here and we don't have much blooming all the time but we sure don't have the deep snows of the northern states either! And yes I get excited every year when they start blooming again!
