Working a little bit in the yard this morning I moved a small pot and saw a slight movement in the bottom of it. At first I thought he was dead because he was so still . When I realized he was still alive I ran for the camera and was happy to see he was still in the pot when I returned. After the photo shoot I let him out of the pot and he scurried on his way
@luvmynynix I have never heard them called that before. I always call them blue tails but apparently those are really only in Australia. Thanks, Laurie!
@grammyn Actually I think they go by blue-tailed skink AND red-headed skink as well! With these guys it seems it's pretty much just pick an attribute and call it that!! LOL :)
@grammyn@bobfoto I love coincidences and connections. Reading your comments made me think of a youtube channel I just recently ran across... One could maybe call it the mother of snake mother channels! :-) Ok.. MAJOR warning for anyone grossed out by fluids. Or snakes. And especially by both... Don't say I didn't warn you: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzJsyoFGk-g
And just LOADS more like it if you look at the sidebar :-)
Thanks and of course the color is what makes them so appealing to me. I bet you get weirded out because they are smooth instead of scaly like most of the lizards you shoot!
