Marauder by grammyn

Marauder

In the woods behind our house lives a family of squirrels that LOVE the fact that we put food out for the birds! We put out a corn cob for the squirrels too but the bird food must be tastier because as I sit at the kitchen window I often see this in the feeders. It is an ongoing battle for the food.
Oh Katy, this is a fantastic capture of this mischievous squirrel. So great.

Great shot. They are cute little pests!

Another lovely shot - great detail. When I lived in South Africa we had the same problem, but with vervet monkeys. It's really annoying.

Adorable capture Katy!

Is this using your zoom? Its such good focus and it still must be a distance from your kitchen table!

They are never happy. They like variety

@marilyn Lol! He sure does. Thanks!

You should check into a Squengee, it's a bungee cord that you hook corn cobs to. Keeps squirrels busy and out of bird feeders, and it's fun to watch. http://www.amazon.com/Squngee-Deluxe-watch-Squirrels-Bungee-Jump/dp/B005XKRVAY

@grammyn We bought one a few years ago while on vacation. But, we are about to move for the 3rd time in 3 years, so we still have it in the closet waiting to put up. Hopefully, when we get to NC we will have squirrels and be t here longer than a year.
January 19th, 2014
@homeschoolmom Ouch! All that moving is a pain!!! I think there are squirrels in NC. and I hope you are there for at least 3 years to enjoy them.
