@grammyn Ours lasted a long time today. We left the lake around 9:45 and it hung in until about 11 AM. I got some pics...will post in a moment,but I am so tired!
Im with you, Katy! It brought tears to my eyes every time we would go to the theatre on a military base and they played the Pledge of Allegiance before the movie.
A flying flag brings out strong feelings of patriotism in me... fog or rain or snow or sun. She's a grand, old flag! :) Great capture of the billowing... that's hard to get because it is so unpredictable! :)
It was so nice to hear the Star-Spangled Banner sung by a professional singer that knew all the words and did not try to "juice it up". She just sang it so nicely.
