One of my favorite parts of exploring a new country is the food. Beirut was no exception! From the open air markets, to the restaurant offerings, to delicious home prepared meals it was all delicious and very memorable.
Lovely to see all the different foods! I can see olives, and nuts but not able to identify some which is good. They wrap food up in these crisp pancake type foods? Like the Indians!
@maggiemae They use bread instead of flatware sometimes and that is the bread you see them wrapping the food in. It is truly delicious. Thanks Maggiemae!
@luvmynynix LOL! sorry I made you hungry! the blue glass one was arak an anise flavored liquor similar to ouzo that was so smooth to drink ! .Thanks a bunch, Laurie.
I remember you now! You changed your profile pix. I am so glad all is well and you recovered from your auto accident. That was really scary. Were you recently in Beirut? this is a wonderful food presentation....love your collage.
@cimes1 I was just looking through my followers and saw you were following me! I didn't remember being notified and then there it was! thanks so much for the follow and your nice comment. I am still healing but certainly out of danger now too.
I went to Beirut a year ago to see @ruthmouch and had the time of my life! she is like family to me and I feel as if I have know her forever! She made me feel so welcome!
@lesip Then you definitely need to try the blue glass shot .....arak. It is a licorice flavored liquor that will make you not CARE about the diet!!! (;
