I grew up believing you should leave a bouquet of flowers on your neighbor's door as a surprise, ring the door bell and then run and hide while watching them find the flowers on May Day.
@darsphotos Thanks for the FAV too Darlene! @marilyn You are so welcome! i am glad to know children are still doing this! Fromk the comments above I thought we were weird for doing it!
@kwiksilver@mzzhope@mats365@deburahiru@luvmynynix@mikegifford@kandkids@nana@maggotx@digitalrn@rangerxenos@kbird61 It must be an older generation thing. I am grateful for all you kind comments (and the FAV Mat) and happy to know I may have rekindled the tradition! It doesn't have to be a huge bouquet or even store bought! As a matter of fact it is usually a small bouquet of whatever is blooming in your yard at the time! The fun is in the giving and the surprise. These were my gift to you since i couldn't actually drop them on your door!
Wow thanks! We do this also before Halloween with candy trying to get the whole neighborhood "booed." We drop candy and a sheet of paper to put in the window saying "I've been booed" and it goes from one house to the next. But flowers. Now that's right up my alley. !
