These leaves are actually a bright yellow but because of the background they do seem to look more green than yellow as I look at this image of them.
Oddly, many of our leaves have shown very little color and they just "left"--my cherry is almost leafless and my apple tree did NOT bear apples for the very first time in 14 years. So this bit of color is nice to see! I'm sure surrounding trees are about to pop. It's just my neighborhood it seems. I love the composition on this one.
@darylo We haven't had enough sharply cool days or nights to make them change color in my neighborhood either. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment!
