In the 24 years we have lived here I can count the times I have seen real icicles on the eaves on one hand. I don't mind because these are almost as beautiful to me.
I love this kind of icicles, the lighting kind. Such a pretty shot, Katy. We have never had real icicles but going into the 30's overnight into the early morning and for at least the week to come with the high in the 50's. Getting colder here.
this is a cool shot. Not the typical. The way you composed it is excellent. The delicate lights are really so well done in your photo plus the coloring and black sky plus it has a modern twist. FAV for me
i love this type, too, not the ones that are stringed uniformly. i lie the randomness of the lights, more realistic. is this outside your house? very nice decor!
My kids always ask me to get them and each year I just don't do it. Why? I'm too lazy and can't figure out how to hang them. So these please my eye because you have figured it out.
What a beautiful night shot, the delicate lights and the blackness of the sky plus the angles..great job! and must have been pretty too! Merriest of Christmas wishes to you and to the grand chap...I do realise I'm late....xxxxx
@eudora@anazad511@darsphotos@barbtatum@jpvona@summerfield@claireuk@tunia@marilyn@darylo thanks to each of you for your lovely comments! It means a lot to me! thanks for the FAV Jill and the high praise, Sissy! I do like the random look of these lights but they are not on my house I just stopped by a place that had them still up after Christmas! I was lucky enough to find one with some architectural interest! Around here most people take down all their decorations the day after Christmas! I am really too lazy to do anything like this at my house too!
