Breakfast Not At Tiffany's

Trying to fit two challenges in one photo. People and SOOC. I wanted to zoom in but realized that is probably not allowed for the sooc challenge so I am using this less than stellar shot. It is causing me to think a little bit more about composing among other things and that is the goal of the challenge I think.
i love your title and having been a student of culinary management, i am quite taken by the cleanliness of this kitchen. and i love those giant pots that have seen better times and had fed so many blessed souls. aces, my friend. aces!

If those pots could talk, I am sure they could tell a few stories. Fabulous.

This has a very natural feel to it- like we're in there to help. I'm glad you decided to be very strict about the sooc part because I think the result is great- but in the future, zooming is ok, it's post processing (or in-camera after the shot) that is not. (sooc- straight out of the camera). You did an excellent job with using the edge of the stove and the overhead exhaust as leading lines.

@olivetreeann What a lovely comment, Ann! Thanks for the support and information. I know there has been lots of discussion about what SOOC is and since my camera will do so much in camera I wasn't sure what was "allowed" for this challenge! I use the zoom a lot and know nothing about lenses because I only have the one so that makes me happy to know I can still do that! The leading lines are probably more a Happy Accident than a skill but I will still take the compliment too! ;~} Thanks again!

Love the whole feel of this and those old very-used pots!

I like this - what a working kitchen really looks like! What SOOC challenge have I missed? Although with the amount of straightening and cropping I usually do, I doubt it would suit me.

@barbtatum I am really surprised with all the positive comments I got about this one! To me it wasn't all that great so I am pleased you like it! Thanks Barb!

@kwiksilver Thanks for all your positive support! here is the Challenge http://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/26200/back-to-basics-nf-sooc-2015. I am truly struggling with it too so I don't post every day! I never used to do any processing and what I do now is minimal but I still do it
September 10th, 2015
Oh man, that does not look like fun. Nice shot and title.
September 10th, 2015
@eudora LOL! All I can think of is how hot it must be to work there! Thanks for your kind words!
September 10th, 2015
First off, the composition is excellent because of the leading lines! Also the pots and the chef working really are nice here. I have no idea what anyone is doing anymore, but I saw you were taking photos of people, so I looked at the month in tile view--spectacular! Sorry I've been so absent. Miss you. :)

@darylo oh, Daryl, it is so nice of you to stop by and take the time to comment! Life gets in the way of everyone from time to time so don't worry about it a bit! It's always nice to hear from you and see what you are doing!
