As l was leaving a store today I saw an interesting looking gentleman and got brave enough to ask if I could take his picture. He readily agreed. Surprise! I told him it was going to be on the internet and explained 365 to him and he immediately declined! Go Figure! That left me at the end of the day with nothing to show for it and this desperation offering. A picture a day.....right? Another sneaked shot in bad light for the people challenge.
So many people think the word 'internet' means Facebook and your photo will be seen by everyone in the world! They have no concept for the privacy settings in FB. And 365 may seem the same to them. Its difficult!
@olivetreeann@deb60@vstap@maggiemae@tunia@janiskay@leananiemand thank you all for your nice comments! I think I am learning to maybe not mention the Internet and just tell them it's for my photo club and leave it at that! I think I caught it just as she was sneezing and I'm glad to see she was using good hygiene! I really appreciate your constant comments and support thanks again!
What a strange reaction! I must admit on the odd occasion when I've actually asked whether I could take a pic, I haven't mentioned 365 or the internet. Sometimes I've got chatting to the person concerned and only then does the subject of 365 come up. So far I've not had your experience! Thankfully! It would totally put me off taking sneaky "street" shots! :)
@kwiksilver I think I am having better luck so far with the sneaked shot but have started asking a little more without explaining the internet part! lt seems a bit dishonest but then I guess so is the sneaked shot actually!
@grammyn Nope, in my book it's not 'dishonest' at all! It's what you see, what it looks like out on the street. If it's out there you can shoot it ;) As long as you're enjoying yourself!
@kwiksilver Well there is the tecnicality I guess. So many of mine are not literally on the street but in businesses. Perhaps still considered in public though!
