Thankful

... that l don't have to build a fire to heat this iron to press my clothes with. Also thankful that most clothing today doesn't need ironing to start with. An offering for the mundane challenge.

I'll bet your mother used one of these didn't she dad?♥
What hot and miserable work that would have been! Terrific shot for the challenge.

this is not mundane at all, but was used for some mundane task! i bet you it was more like a dreaded piece of equipment in its heydays, but this now belongs in a museum :-)

Great capture and processing. Where's the cord? :-P

This is a great find and the processing and composition are fab.

Classic. And here I hate modern ironing. What a delicate American I am .

I am quite thankful for those things too. I hate ironing! It takes weeks before I'm motivated to even do one thing. Nicely captured!

Nice black background to show this off. An iron, what is that?

You are right - remember when 'no ironing' clothes arrived? Wish they made men's shirts like that!

I don't mind ironing but I don't think I'd like using this very much at all! Awesome photo of history!

As you say, so glad I don;t have to use one of these. Very cool and not so mundane.

What a great find. A beautiful vintage iron albeit a little rusty. Absolutely perfect for the challenge. You get my VOTE. Fav!

Not really mundane, what a great iron! Love the colour and the museum look of it on black. Nice job

Beautiful shot of this iron! I like the lines of it against the black background. Funny--I discovered an unpacked moving box in the garage last week and found an old iron that had belonged to my grandmother. I thought the same thing--glad I don't have to use this!
