After I recieved these rings I kept them in my jewelry box to wear only on special occasions as I didn't want anything to happen to them. I very seldom have any truly special occasions anymore so mostly they stayed in the box. After some time it occurred to me that my grandmother wore them every day for more than 50 years and they stood up very well. Now I no longer save them for a special day but wear them every day too and they are a constant reminder to me of my heritage through my mother to my grandmother.

Good for you for wearing them! I've just received a ring that my recently deceased sister wore and it was my mother's before that! So I'm really happy to look down on my fingers!
great macro. the noise gave the whole picture more vintage texture and feel.
i lost my mother's solitaire ring when i move flats in the mid-90's. i would place my jewelry in the pockets of my blazers and after the move i weeded my closet and gave away the suits i no longer wanted. then after a few months i was looking for the ring and it was years before i finally figured out what happened to it. i just hope that the person who found it had a good use for it. i'd love to recover it but...and that is why i don't like to declutter my clutter.
