Derelict Depot by grammyn

Derelict Depot

I am finding it challenging to shoot landscapes in black and white without some other visible features to create more interest.
Wow. It is quite overgrown there!

Lots of landscapes have buildings in them. No problem there! This poor house has not been visited in a while! But all that overgrowth lends texture to the picture. Good catch!

I wonder if you could up the contrast on this, and then the white bark trees would stand out and mimic the pillars on the building. The light grasses in the foreground may have more to say also.

Love all the textures. Next week we have trinkets.

I think you have done very well. Showing only part of the building has created great interest and tells a story.

Black and white is very challenging. I think you've handled it well here, bringing out the tones and shades.
