If you missed yesterday's shot you really should check it out. I saw something similar to this one on the internet and the next day noticed it on my own kitchen window. This tomato that had been left to ripen longer than it should have been did not rot but, instead, the seeds started to grow from within the tomato! Sometimes hoarding can reveal amazing discoveries don't ya think?!
i'm telling you, there's an alien inside that tomato. i could picture that alien coming out of sigourney weaver's stomach. those should not go near the mothership, they're the enemies from another galaxy!
I don't know- forgetting you've got a tomato ripening on the windowsill is not really hoarding to me. (Maybe because I know someone who truly suffers from it- their home is filled with a maze of boxes piled at least 5 feet high.) That's pretty cool that the seeds started to sprout within the tomato! Makes a good black and white too!

I am so glad you find this as interesting as I did. I have to agree it definitely looks like an alien coming out of the tomato. it is not quite as impressive in black-and-white as it was in color to me but it’s much easier to see the roots still inside the tomato in this black and white one. The hoarding part comes in where I refused to throw it away when it was obviously no longer edible, Ann. I really like the suggestion of planting it and perhaps getting tomatoes this year before everyone else does. I need to find a pot and some dirt I guess. Thank you everyone for your enthusiasm about this photo and phenomenon.
