If I had been thinking properly this morning when I took this photo I would have put a Mardi Gras mask in it too.......but I wasn't so all you get is the national emblem of Wales, the daffodils growing in my yard. St David is the patron saint of Wales. Mardi Gras, Fat Tuesday is reflecting the practice of the last night of eating rich, fatty foods before the ritual Lenten sacrifices and fasting of the Lenten season in the Christian culture.
...
I love daffodils and this is a wonderful photo of them. I love the colors, the light that shines more on some some of the flowers than others, the great shadows and the taller and receding flowers, all of which contribute to the really nice composition.
